salaam brothers
I was hoping we can start a topic to see if any brothers are having any trouble finding the right partner, I must ask you all to think about what you are expecting in a partner, are we all looking for beauty, how many brothers are looking to see how certain sisters imaan is, inshallah you should look for how close a sister is to allah, everything else will follow after, you can have looks but what if they have a heart as a stone,
please think about what you want and expect before jumping to random people. Everyone is different no one is perfect in this world. dont lead sisters on and dont have evil thought to ruin someone's life. e.g temporary nikkah, visa, citizenship etc.
be honest and straigh forward and inshllah all will help you all.

well, i don't want to doubt the honesty and sincerity of some sisters here. however, imagine yourself having good intentions when you happen to contact a sister who later on asks you for your lineage. you give your details besides being Haafidhul-Qur'aan, and it so turns out that you are not her match. how do you judge that... a chit-chat or what? indeed, it's really hard to find the right person. so i hang up my gloves and wait for Allah's verdict.

Sallam brothers! My name is Mohammed Zubayr and I am a coverted American Muslim. I converted about a year ago and have been happy in Allah ever since. Thank you for this advice! How would you advise me on marriage. I was not born Muslim and that may be a problem for some women on this site. Any thoughts?

Assalaamu Allaykum brother, Im glad you have found the right path and may Allah (swt) bless you and make your transition easy. I think as long as you are continuously learning more and more about islam isha'alah Allah (swt) will make it easier for you and I'm sure if there is a true muslim sister here she will not judge for your newly conversion to islam and Insha'alah will accept you for who you are. Also, always have good intention when contacting a sister and Allah (swt) will take it from there...may allah make your path much easier. ameen

I think brothers we are not being true to ourselves, our basic need is a warm bed and a warm belly and unfortunately a vast majority of women fail on either or both of these basic human needs.
